Playing as Thomas Carnacki, the Demon Hunter, gives the usual London fog a proper eerie edge — each of the three cases has a clever supernatural hook. The branching choices made me flip back and forth, but that's part of the fun.

The three case files actually branch depending on whether you're Watson, Holmes, or Carnacki, so my second playthrough felt completely different. I finished the first mystery in one sitting and immediately started over to see what I'd missed.

Playing as Thomas Carnacki instead of Holmes was a nice surprise, and his demon-hunting angle changes how you read each clue. The London map you piece together across all three cases kept me flipping back and forth for a solid week.
