The choose-your-own-path format kept my son hooked for almost an hour straight, which never happens. Being the stork letter carrier himself made him feel like he was really delivering mail around that little French village.
My 8-year-old picked this up for bedtime and ended up reading the whole route twice in one sitting. Being the stork mail carrier in that little French village made him feel like the hero instead of just following someone else's story.
The choose-your-own-path format made my son feel like he was actually the stork carrying letters around Le Cormier. He's read it three times already, picking different choices each time to see where the story goes.
