Took this to game night and it was a hit — the push-your-luck mechanic where you decide whether to keep rolling for double pops keeps everyone tense right up to the last die. Games run quick, maybe 15 minutes, so we played four rounds back to back.
My kids actually ask to play this one, which never happens with our other dice games. The burn rule keeps every roll tense right up to the last turn, and games wrap up in about ten minutes so nobody loses interest.
The double pops scoring two points really changes strategy mid-game, and the burn risk keeps everyone on edge until the last roll. My kids begged to play three rounds in a row tonight, which says a lot for a family game night.
